Counselling

My approach

I work integratively, which means I draw on different counselling approaches and adapt the way I work to suit you as an individual. There is no set agenda or one-size-fits-all way of working. Together, we focus on what feels most important for you, whether that’s exploring past experiences, understanding current patterns, or developing practical ways of coping, always within a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Experience and specialisms

I have over five years’ experience working within addiction and substance misuse services, supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges around use, recovery, and the emotional impact that can come alongside this. I also have specialist experience in bereavement, having completed my counselling placement with Cruse Bereavement, where I supported people through loss, grief, and adjustment at their own pace.

Alongside this, I work with anxiety, relationship difficulties, and the emotional challenges that can arise during periods of change or uncertainty.

LGBTQ+ affirmative counselling

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I understand the importance of feeling genuinely safe, seen, and affirmed in counselling. I offer inclusive, non-judgemental support and have experience working with issues around identity, gender dysphoria, relationships, HIV, and the unique pressures that can come with navigating these experiences.
